Food Safety – “Better Than Organic”

Eurofresh Farms closely monitors the greenhouse growing environment with sophisticated control systems to keep our produce safe.  The superior cleanliness of our greenhouse gardens further manages and controls the risk of diseases.  Eurofresh makes use of Nature’s bumblebees to pollinate tomato plants, keeping the plants healthy while giving them the rich texture, delectable flavor, and outstanding quality that distinguishes Eurofresh tomatoes.

While Eurofresh produce cannot be labeled “organically grown,” we have a reduced risk of contamination compared to other organic produce.  Organic produce has exposure to animal fertilizers and thus more risk of food born diseases like E. coli, as well as risk of birds and animals entering the production area. Greenhouse tomatoes are less susceptible to these risks because our tomatoes are closely monitored and secured in our eco-friendly greenhouses.

These growing practices ensure our customers that even in instances such as the recent Salmonella outbreak, our products are never at risk and we are able to provide them with a valuable peace of mind and uninterrupted product supply.
