Maintenance Technician

Essential Job Functions

Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager activities with facility machinery install, perform preventative and predictive maintenance on a on facility machinery and systems in addition to production, engineering and construction activities
Maintain, trouble shoot and service mechanical & industrial electrical equipment with plc and relay logic controllers
Perform all aspects of general electrical installations including circuit boards, switch panels, wiring, lighting, and switches
Work with fellow employees, vendors, location managers, assistants, associates and others
Perform daily repairs on equipment, systems, machinery and vehicles
Assume responsibility for all greenhouse maintenance
Must use sound judgment when dealing with and eliminating safety related issues
Knowledge of the methods, techniques and safety measures in the use of fertilizers, and pesticides as necessary
Assist vendors with repairs as necessary
Provide constant attention to all life safety issues and ensure building emergency systems are operational through in-house inspections and vendor maintenance contracts
Receive and uphold worker safety training
Ensure the accuracy of required tracking and control reports.
Contribute to organization success by welcoming new requests and helping others accomplish job results.
Improve workplace ergonomics to reduce or eliminate work injuries.
Ensure achievement of operational objectives in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance of all company policies and initiatives.
Ensure continuity and maximize productivity and quality within the company guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Job qualifications are stated in the Essential Functions. An employee must be able to accomplish the Essential Functions in order to be competent in the job. Other qualifications not specifically noted in the Essential Functions:

High School Diploma or GED
Three years minimum experience working in the machine repair field and/or facilities maintenance department of a manufacturing company or similar business
A broad general knowledge of electrical systems
Read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
Must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical assemblies, electric motors and simple control wiring
Mechanical, Electrical and PLC experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Experience with HVAC systems and generators a plus
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. A solutions provider
Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time and delegate appropriately.
Excellent customer service skills
Accurate detail oriented individual
Capable of Lifting up to 70 lbs.
Available to participate in a rotating duty schedule and available to work Holidays and Weekends as necessary
Capable of working at heights of 50 feet.
